2. How long have you been making websites?

since 2020 or so ; pizzarisu.neocities.org was my first site

3. And what got you into the hobby?

first i wanted a site for a comic i never made, then to like post plushie pics and collections since tumblr scared me, then after i got banned from toyhouse i never went back to depending on socmed

4. What kind of website are you most interested in?

sites that archive peoples art and thoughts, so i guess gallery sites. but i like info sites too

5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?

i start with a rough idea and it constantly changes from there on. initial coding is always satisfying tho when it matches the sketch

6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.

for site vibes, zhongvie's site is just very nice on the eyes and cohesive and has that online journal feel, numbersstory is incredibly fun to explore and read on and motivates me to keep working at my OC portion of my site, and seafare's site is cozy and fun to explore (and its pokemon). i also like ophanimkei's site and works alot and she inspires me in general

7. What's your favourite part about making websites?

when all the links send u to another page n stuff without having to use the browser's back button to navigate, one of the things im trying to get right on my site. i also love making custom assets

8. And the thing you struggle with the most?

keeping the same layouts or site design, which is an issue when youre making custom assests

9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?

everytime i try to use the same layout on all pages it only lasts like a week LOL. typically different ones

10. How confident are you with CSS?

i only just found out that using background: can make life easier instead of always going background-color: and background-image: xD

set up the basics like overall container, the header, nav, body and footer. depends tho cuz i forget the footer all the time LOL

id love to focus on content but i get wrapped up in the design part if the page is text heavy or related to a theme that the art will help compliment

nope, and yes. i just cant afford it i can barely afford the neocities supporter rn

19. What do you think of nostalgia-focused or "retro" websites?

a bit confusing question because nostaglia/retro can me like someone putting the scanlines over their page or making it windows themed or straight up coding the most basic way without gradients, css animations or likewise.

20. Is your HTML valid? Do you even check?

21. What are your opinion on buttons and banners?

they are epic

22. What do you think of button walls in particular?

theyre cool but i understand why its important to have a gif pauser because some button walls be big as fuck with flashy lights.

i start over very often and i always make it like the same thing just with different paint. its like when i re-arrange my rooom every 3 months to the same layout i had 3 months ago

24. Are you envious of other people's websites?

i am envious of any site that has kept the same theme/layoute for longer than 3 months. i wish we as a system could decide xDD i keep remodeling and not putting out actual content lmfao

25. What text editor do you use?

primarily vscode with live server, but on my laptop w/ mint i use Kate

26. Why do you use that one?

vscode because live server. kate because its just notepad++ which is what i started with

27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?

on the webserver because filegarden and shit be crashing

28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?

i dont give a shit tbh, from my initial understanding nekoweb users might be younger than neocities users and more of a niche for like furry/anime users while neocities hosts a huge variety

29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?

too much because i dont compress shit (which im hoping to change up...)

simple my beloved. too many graphics make me a little overstimulated ngl. i love a simple site but chef kiss if its like artsy or with a theme. im just not for super graphic heavy briht colored sites

32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?

yeah usually yellows, greens, blues, oranges and pinks. reccently going with common gradient maps i use because thats the hue of our headspace. in general we aim for colors that are nice on the eyes

when i was in a paranoid episode yes but i was like that for everything

34. Do you have many webmaster friends, or is it a solitary hobby?

well i have mutuals and neoneighbors itd be overstepping to call them friends. i dont talk to anyone about site making and im ok with it, but do plan to practice chatting with others. i mostly lurk in fourms

offhandeledly yes, because i tell them im working on it. have they visited it? i hope not

i try to atleast once a week it comes in waves depending on whos fronting

we change it too much because we are a collective full of visionairies

yes but im more of a lurker on social media because i dont want to be involved in the social media chaos. my brain fries when i lurk sometimes. if i stayed active on social media i would have killed myself for the way it sets off my issues

we mostly lurk and respond days or hours late to the poor bastards that try to maintain contact with our asses. godspeed to yall

depends on fronter, we usually listen to metal, alternative, video game music or rap

we have more than one now to hopefully satiate headmates and keep everyone from changing the sites design all the time

i often worry that i dont on this site but this is prob the one place im best at doing it....if...WE ACTUALLY PUT CONTENT ON THE SITE THAT ISNT WRITTEN DURING CRISIS Exscuse me. but yeah i think im overconcerned sometimes about how authentic im being because my fucking ocd is so dumb bro. i cannot construct a persona well or well any attempts falls apart quick because its so tiring.

i think so yeah? any problems i do have is probably ones i havent learned how to fix yet

intext styling. repeating css on multiple sheets if it can be all plugged into a universal css sheet and put on every page. this shit saved my life

its just whats convient and works (win 11 bc clip studio paint runs smoothly on it, linux mint bc this is a crusty thinkpad)

im a px truther but it is my flaw. this is something i need to sit down and take notes on so my code isnt absolute shit in the sizing accord

i want to get into better practice of doing so for the sites i like exploring. ive been told my sites bookmarked by others. its something i just try to embrace and not be paranoid about

people have told me they think what i make is cool and that i seem cool, but these people have not witnessed me long enough to get a better informed opinion to change their description. i actually get nervous when people say they think im cool because man it means i gotta not dissapoint them or like, summon ability to respond how people should to comments like that. i have Difficulties interperting what i guess is desired human feedback so it makes me feel like this when it happens

no we think our old art is important, and even the art we tend to delete today is still important. we were deleting art because we thought it would be our duty to save other peoples minds and stuff its fucking bizarre. outside of the delusion, all our art and others art is important and worth keeping because its part of you. all of you deserves to live

id probably be very frustrated and uncomfortable having something i cant modify for all to see, but would let it be archived as long as no other fucker touches it
