Wrenpaw's Faith is a story about two apprentices who have been 'paws for far too long, and for reasons their clans don't seem to grasp. After spectacular breakdowns, Wrenpaw and Rustedpaw must learn to find their purpose from within.
content warnings
Wrenpaw's Faith is not suitiable for young audiences. This is a coming to age story centered around struggling with young adulthood (18 - 25). This comic will cover and depict the following topics visually or through dialouge which can be triggering:
- abuse & manipulation
(covert, sexual, verbal, emotional, physical, coercion) - suicide & suicidal ideation
- self-harm
- wreckless drug use & addiction
- blood, injury and gore
- depiction of psychosis and dissociation*
- violence (fighting, arguments, dangerous situations)
- suggestive and sexual situations
- vulgar language
*The way psychosis, dissociation and the main protagonist's general symptoms presents is informed by the authors living experience with it. This is to say the main characters may behave in ways that can be upsetting to see. It should not be seen as generalizable to overall populations given this fact. If it bothers you, I'd advise against reading further unless you're willing to stick around and see their growth. This story does have a good ending. But the characters will reach their lowest and become what they hate before they get better.
world
Being a rouge or kittypet is not as problematic as it is in the books as the clans have large populations of both. There is not much clan conflict except from personal dramas, petty border skirmishes or conflict with nature (predators, severe weather, Twolegs being Twolegs). Their clans exist close to Twolegs and occassionally utilize resources from them; they understand transportation like cars, boats, bridges and trains. Cats can communicate with other animals if those animals understand them too, and many have basic knowledge of human speak due to city cat and kittypet populations. With this, they utilize some vulgar language utilized by Twolegs.

Note: I don't list their ages due to the fact this story begins when Wrenpaw is 10 moons old and will happen over the course of two years.
RIVERCLAN
A small clan consisting of at least 14 cats within in a forest next to a Twoleg neighborhood and boat bridge. Due to close proximity to Twolegs, their diets consist of birds, small prey animal and human scraps and food left out for them.

THUNDERCLAN
A small clan consisting of at least 8 cats within the woods connected to the abandonded train tracks next to a junkyard. Due to close proximity to Thunderpaths and small Twoleg buisnesses, many Thunderclan warriors hunt for Twoleg scraps and birds. There are Thunderclan warriors that are indoor/outdoor cats / have Twoleg servants.
