Ida is a caramel furred weasel with dark markings on his ears and tip of his tail. He has a cream underbelly and is covered in scars and scabs from self-injury. He has scruffy hair that reaches his shoulder that is curly when wet. Ida is approximately 6'4" and on the heavier side; he does not have much muscle and has a notable curved spine. He was born October 28th, 1994.

Ida is the first biological son of Lucille Rivera and Peter Rivera. His little brother is Kayden Rivera. He grew up in Nightdale before relocating to the Alexander household in 2005 after his father killed his brother and mother. After his suicide attempt in 2012, he moved to Barfield to attend college,rooming with Jasion. Currently, he resides with Barry and Astria in River.

personality

Ida is very socially awkward, however in social settings he'll make feeble attempts before crashing out mid convo if he feels like he's being too "cringe". He has a very immature sense of humor and gets mistaken for a teenager due to his posture, disposition and vocabulary choice. He is friendly and polite around furs he doesn't know, however once you get to know him, you'll get to know how vulgar and rude he can be without even trying. When he's triggered, he can be pretty awful and aggressive until his rage cycles back onto himself. It's a pretty gnarly sight to witness, which is why he's known for blowing up and "weaseling out" of situations.

Beneath his sardonic "fuck it all" mask, he's a softie and good boy. He's painfully sensitive and is a root of why he runs from everything.

history

As a child, Ida was your typical nerdy good boy type. He had a caring heart and prided himself in being the goodest, most responsible weasel ever. He did amazing in classes and kept up with his chores at home, fostering a good relationship with his parents. He was closer to Peter than Lucille, often excited to help his father out with chores and the odd jobs he'd do. It was only when Peter's abuse became more extreme and disorienting to the young weasel where he started to be a bit touchy, vulgar and anxious around his peers. His parents had always had relationship issues, but their fights worsened with Kayden's birth, leading to the progression of Peter obsession over Ida, Lucille splitting on Ida for why Peter was abusing her and the doomed bond between Ida and Kayden.

As a teen, Ida was a mischievous asshole. While he always had a sardonic personality, it worsened once he hit his mid teens. To be fair, he listened to his brother and mom die and had to shoot his dad before watching him get dragged out by the cops. A lot of his teenage years was spent wiggling his way out of punishments due to the fact everyone felt really bad for him and was lowkey afraid of him. He was good at faking a smile despite increasing instability from lack of treatment (yeah he did not get any treatment after the incident other than some half-assed school counselor sessions). His social life in high school rapidly degraded after he found out his girlfriend was pregnant, which led to him burning every bridge he had to be able to not feel guilty once he killed himself, as he entered psychosis, mortified that he was being possessed by his dad. He attempted suicide the day after his graduation and was hospitalized for two weeks as once he survived, he lied his way out of the hospital. When Akira picked him up after he was let out of the hospital, he confessed to how he spent the last years abusing Lucas, and to his horror, Akira didn't hate him and was just very disappointed and heartbroken but still helped him find housing with her cousin (Jasion) and paid for his college. Ida simply made the promise to not seek out Lucas again and they go along with the idea he was still very sick.

During his college days, Ida was a hermit. He spent most of his days isolated to his bedroom surfing the web and playing games in online communities outside of going to classes. He was more mellowed out for the fact he was afraid of other furs and living in a self-loathing haze. He struggled to socialize outside of interactions with Jasion and was prone to panic attacks and dissociative fits in this time as he now had a therapist and had a couple of incidents of being hospitalized from seizures and self-harm (ie. when he mutilated his balls so much that it led to his official castration). Despite this, he got his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Neuroscience, but doesn't really use neither. He only went to the college in Barfield because Akira paid for it and he couldn't handle the guilt of wasting her money. He worked in retail and warehouses in order to afford stuff for his hobbies, pay rent and commissions. Other than that, he avoided going out at all costs and would nonsensically ramble online and infodump to whoever he could about his hyperfixtations. Without Lucas reuniting with him, he would have probably never tried to do much of anything else.

Lucas ♥♥♥♡♡
"He's Lucas...what more do I need to say?" Ida's feelings about Lucas are complicated. The two have a much healthier relationship in modern day because they don't hang out a lot and Lucas has a secure attatchment with Allen, but it's still rocky due to Ida generally falling back into bad behaviors when they both find themselves feeling nostalgic and craving a bit of chaos. As children, Ida Lucas tolerated anything Ida would do to him because Lucas thought he was cool.

Astria ♥♥♥♥♡
"She's chill as fuck."
When they were kids, Ida could give less of a fuck about her - she cried a lot, always had a bug-eyed stare from the other side of the room and always was getting cussed out by her mom when she was getting picked up. They only really spoke when Pokemon was the topic. He tricked her into trading him her box legendary Pokemon for a Pokemon he swore was just as rare. After becoming closer through Lucas and Barry as adults, the two ended up hitting it off because of how many interests they shared and the fact they are both self-hating socially fucked up hermits. Astria makes things feel simple again for him. There are times where Astria's lack of response to pretty much everything pisses him off and makes him turn into a wet mop, but because Astria has no reaction to it, its often shortlived and he relaxes. They're both painfully blunt and real with eachother which is why the group feels they might be matches made in heaven.

Barry ♥♥♥♡♡
"...Uh...yeah, he's my bro."
Ida was closer to Barry before realizing he was friends with Allen and before he and Astria hit it off. The two have been friends for over a decade due to online gaming - during this online time, they had no idea they had already been friends in childhood nor would meet again IRL by accident. Once becoming friends in person, their friendship degraded a bit due to Barry looking down on Ida for his awkward behavior, understanding his history, and depiction of low self-esteem. While they would still have fun and game and smoke together, any conflicts allowed Barry to take shots at Ida. When Ida started fucking Astria after the two started having problems, Barry was incredibly insulted and just makes fun of Ida whenever he gets opportunity to because Ida wont fight back.

Allen ♥♥♥♥♡
"....Mmmrhh...He's cool."
Allen makes Ida feel weird. They're the same age but Ida feels like an infant around him, and well Allen has taken note of this (leading to their DDLB dynamic). When they first met each other, Ida was convinced Allen would kill him. Allen did everything to fuck with Ida's head for the first few months of knowing each other and was sure to express his disgust for Ida's history. Ida didn't like him much because Al didn't let shit slide without being forced to acknowledge it. He likes that about him. Al has done some arguably unhinged things to him (beat the shit out of him on different occasions, rape him, convince him that he'd ingested crack, fed into one of his psychosis episodes, made him so stressed out he seized, held a gun to his head, give him a gun and tell him to kill himself, gaslight him for shits and giggles) but he finds himself responding to Allen's texts to hang out anyways. Once Ida stopped fucking around with Lucas, Al stopped tormenting him in this way and just "nags" to keep Ida motivated to do something about his life than rot and fuck everyone in their friendgroup. Al is usually the one to pull Ida out of his suicidal hazes.

Akira ♥♡♡♡♡
"Ughhhhhhh."
Ida thinks about Akira and wants to hurt himself. Akira held no true malice against Ida for what he did to Lucas. She paid for his university journey and checked up on him even when he ignored her calls. She is who took him to the hospital for evaluation and picked him up after he was released. She still made sure he was housed even after he admitted to abusing Lucas. Ida clams up and stares at the ground when he sees Akira, not knowing what to say. He is terrified of her even when she hugs him and says she's proud to see him still trying. He hates it and feels awful that he can't really make it up to her for giving him a chance.

Andrenne ♥♡♡♡♡
"W-Why you bringin' her up?"
His best friend from high school and baby momma. Ida ran into after 12 years later in the shampoo aisle at a Wal-Mart. They haven't really reconnected because the fact their kid is still alive is what freaks Ida out so badly. Andrenne was his first girlfriend, the girl he revealed his own abuse to, the first person he revealed he was an abuser to and the first person to actually call him out on his bullshit. Also, she cracked his egg. She was shocked he wasn't a girl when they traded numbers in Wal-Mart.

Peter ♡♡♥♡♡ (Father)

Ida hates his father with all of his heart, even if there's a sick sad weasel pup in him that misses the days he and his dad would drive off to grab fast food after Lucille would rage and throw shit at the both of them. He often wishes he did end up killing his dad when he shot him, so in the event he ever were to die, their bloodline would be done. Unfortunately, Ida doesn't have the heart for it. After his father was released from prison, he took initiative to go and check on the sad sack of fur and make sure he was getting his food and medication since his insurance wouldn't cover it, even with him being deemed 'tamed'. There's days he walks into his father's miserable apartment and wonders if he'll finally walk in on him dead, or if Peter will hit him again so the feelings of guilt he has gets offset.
